Who Am I?

I am a sister, daughter, mother, wife, grand-daughter, cousin, niece, aunt, friend, neighbour, colleague, writer, journalist, author, historian, consultant, self-employed businessperson, citizen, resident, member, parishioner, director, partner, humanitarian, socialist, naturalist, idealist, believer, ecologist, gardener, cyclist, swimmer, hiker, canoeist, cross-country skier and snowshoer. I'm a Canadian who was born in Ontario and now lives in Quebec.

These lists could go on, but clearly, an individual is significantly more complicated than the current trend towards branding leads us to believe.

My role as a non-fiction writer touches on all these identities along with many of which I'm not aware.

My aim to write inspirational stories that encourage readers to act in favour of a private or public good is a lofty goal requiring mutual respect and trust, something that must be earned, not assumed.

To help encourage that trust, I make the following pledges:

Whether you're a employer, potential partner, or someone who reads my work, I hope you'll find whatever information you may need or want through this site. Please look around. I've included lots of links to partners for anyone who wants to order articles or books.

Thanks for your time. If you have questions or commments, please feel free to send them along.
